Fade to Good Will Walking the Line

DAILY QUOTES

Love is a burnin' thing,
And it makes a fiery ring
Bound by wild desire
--I fell into a ring of fire.
~Johnny Cash

Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn.
~John Muir

No time for love Dr. Jones.
Feel like I step on fortune cookie.
You have remarkable power which you are not using.

Movies I watched this weekend: Fade to Black, Walk the Line and Good Will Hunting. All get two thumbs up from me. Walk the Line was absolutely amazing. I guess I can kind of identify with The Man in Black, but to say I have experienced the kind of pain he has would be ridiculous. It was a good insight in to the roots of what grasped at his soul. Sometimes as most artists or creative people I can feel the clenching and tightening around my soul from that mysterious source I like to refer to as (as others have) "The Gift and the Curse." I think it is very hard to put into words or movie scenes that feeling but the movie did a good job of scratching the surface and showing some of the causes.
Here's a poem I wrote/am writing. It still needs some revision, because nothing is ever done and it can always be edited more.

I ran my finger carefully across your lips
as if they were knife blades.
Strummed on your back
until a sweet, gentle chord was played.
Clutched your hand as if
I was carrying an egg.
And to myself I prayed.
Sending out brain waves
that bounced of satellites.
Who received them I don't know.
But it was a beautiful song,
soft, and slow.
