Time After Time

DAILY QUOTES

I would rather have eyes that cannot see; ears that cannot hear; lips that cannot speak, than a heart that cannot love.

The first cut is the deepest, baby I know
The first cut is the deepest
'cause when it comes to being lucky she's cursed
when it comes to lovin' me she's worst
but when it comes to being loved she's first
that's how I know
The first cut is the deepest, baby I know
The first cut is the deepest

I can't even begin to describe how let down I am about JMU's Homecoming loss to Richmond, not to mention the playoff implications the loss has. So give me a few days to digest and upload pictures and I will. One thing is for certain...no matter the outcome of a game, spending time with your friends in a "cabin" in the mountains is always a good time.

Timing

Isn't life really about timing?
For instance:
When you may meet a person in your respective lives may determine the type of relationship you have with them. If you got off the line quick enough too get around that O-Lineman to get a sack could make or break a championship. Braking for a stoplight a second too late or a second too early could save or end your life.
It's all about where you are at any given time. This is kinda like fate, or the butterfly effect, but if you look at every situation with a clock (any kind; internal, Fossil, World, etc.) I think there are subtle differences from the philosophies of fate and Butterfly Effect.

Proximity is a bitch.

Kalifornivacation Pt. 2

My Time in LA was great, Uncle I turned 60, Efro showed em around, Cousin Dena and I caught up, I held a Pomeranian for an hour or so. I had some culinary highlights at Doughboys, The Griddle, Pink Berry (and Yogo-Tango), and of course The Coffee Bean and The Tea Leaf!!!
Pink Berry for the uneducated is a frozen yogurt place that apparently is the latest, coolest, and trendiest in froyo. PB offers 2 favors, Green Tea, and Plain. Plain isn't vanilla its just plain yogurt without the sweetness added. PB also offered about 12 toppings. I felt cool and hip, on the cutting edge, eating this culinary fad. To myself I thought this would never start in the east coast...
Uncle I, Dena, Cara Joy, and Sara enjoying Pink Berry!

I hate to cut out details, but Tony and Andie's wedding deserves its own blog...So I'll jump to October 7th! My 30th Birthday...although I almost missed my flight it was worht to turn 30 in such a beautiful place: Point Reyes National Seashore

The Lighthouse @ Point Reyes

Seriously?! Is there a better place to turn 30?

Kansas-Californivacation Recap Pt. 1

DAILY QUOTES

The trees that are slow to grow bear the best fruit.
~Moliere

Imagination is more important than knowledge...
~Albert Einstein

Everything that I understand, I understand only because I love.
~Leo Tolstoy

Wow what an amazing ten days! It all started with an all expense paid trip to Kansas City for a NASCAR race. Thank you Benjie for taking me along. I got a good drunken start to my vacation, witnessed mid-west, Kansas wind powered weather, and saw half a NASCAR race. I learned mid-west girls are cute and friendly but maybe a bit shy. Here are some pics!!!

Kasey Kahne!!! No. 9!!!
We had Pit Passes, which is always cool!

Tars aka Tires

I thought I saw YOU (and you know who you are) at the race!

Obligatory FlyOver Video A-10 Warthogs
NEXT STOP LA LA LAND aka LOS ANGELES

After a lovely flight on Virgin America Airlines (IAD to SFO to LAX) complete with mood lighting, and the in seat interactive RED system (still working out the kinks on this one) I arrived in L.A. I was met by one of my best friends in the whole world, a man I've known my entire life...EFRO, ETB, DEEPHood! The one and only Ethan T. Berlin, Gbehh!! (See below)

We immediately went to the Getty Museum, a place I studied for its architecture while in school at JMU. The gardens were beautiful and the structure even more breath taking, please enjoy more pictures!!

Ethan and Me!!

As you can see this post is already chock full, I promise a Part 2 and maybe even a Part 3.
Some highlights include: PinkBerry, Family, Tony and Andie's Wedding, and Point Reyes National Seashore!!!
